Website Launch for Three Real-Life Student Projects
Nowadays, projects and companies must have clear, dynamic and compelling websites. In the context of its Master Program, the University of Business and International Studies (UBIS) is offering a course on Digital Strategies, taught by Dr. Viola Krebs. Three of this year’s students have designed exciting projects for which they have outlined a communication strategy and created a website. We are excited to invite you to join the public launch of these websites, which will take place at
- our Geneva campus (46, avenue Blanc, 1202 Geneva)
- on 28 February 2020, at 10:30 am
Florian Bikard will present “Back from the Front” (BfF), an educational project. The website and project have been designed by a Geneva-based non-profit organisation created for the “Keep the Memory Initiative” (KMI). The main purpose of KMI is to invite veterans from different European nations to visit schools and universities, so as to raise awareness on the remembrance of previous conflicts in Europe. The aim is to contribute to the rapprochement between nations, and promote the voice of peace to future generations of decision makers.
Andres Naranjo will introduce “Outbreak”. Outbreak came to existence because of two powerful elements: Andres’ best friend’s passion for fitness, which united the friends in the first place, and a relentless mutual desire to see a new initiative grow and succeed. In Ecuador, Outbreak already has an established production line, and it is starting to distribute bars in fitness centers, outdoor shops (i.e. Tattoo, North Face, etc.), and sporting events throughout the country. Now, thought is being given to the profitability in the long-term. Taking advantage of his presence in Geneva and a UBIS Project Management course, Andres started to explore possibilities to develop Outbreak for the Swiss market. The Digital Strategies class provided an opportunity to design a new website for our Outbreak products. Outbreak believes in the allure of its logo, and the power of its brand; as well as the quality of Ecuadorian natural ingredients, helping achieve great physical sports performances. Are you ready to be part of our family of boundary-breakers and achievers?
Bao Anh is aiming to launch a non-for-profit organization focusing on the reduction of harm related to the negative social, health and legal impacts of drug use and drug policy. The organization advocates and promotes the main principles of Harm Reduction, Education and Decriminalization to achieve better drug policies and laws. These will in turn contribute to a healthier, safer society, with the understanding and acceptance that drug use and addiction ought to be treated as a public health issue, rather than a criminal matter. For Bao, the Digital Strategies class has been the opportunity to prepare the organization’s communication strategy and website.
In the second part of the session, we will invite the audience to provide feedback and suggestions. The most popular project will further be distinguished with an Best Website Distinction.
