Master in Business Administration (MBA)

To receive the dual MBA/EMBA degree You will be required to complete 90 ECTS Credits.

Master of Arts in International Relations (MA-IR)

The job market – locally and internationally – is becoming more difficult for numerous reasons: The competition, the economic situation in many countries and the needs/expectations of employers. Despite these challenges, new job opportunities are opening up globally.

Our Masters of Art in International Relations (MA-IR) is combining both international relations and international business courses. This combination gives you strong knowledge with the managerial skills necessary for any leading position.

Master in Information Technology (MIT)

The Master in Information Technology (MIT) degree program provides a comprehensive perspective to the field of Information Technology. It is designed to develop the student’s skills to conceptualize, organize and undertake information technology projects of highly competitive value. These skills constitute the necessary foundations for solving practical problems involving information technology that arise in business, governmental, and non-profit organizations. The curriculum provides an array of technical and management knowledge required to properly implement and manage IT solutions in such areas as digital marketing, data science, cybersecurity, and modern applications development.

Program Objetives:

Graduates of the Master in Information Technology are able to:
· Develop the fundamental understanding of the technical foundation of information systems to support day-to-day business operations.
· Develop skills to effectively deploy information technology assets in support of business processes, security, or business competitive advantage.
· Apply technical critical thinking and analytic competencies to complex information systems problems.
· Analyze, design, and develop information technology solutions under specific problem situations such as marketing, analytics, and internal controls to allow for implementation of strategic initiatives that incorporate current or emerging technologies.
 

Program structure:

The Master in Information Technology consists of 10 core courses (4 foundation and 6 core) and one concentration of 5 courses (3 credits each).An executive version of the program is available for individuals with sufficient academic or professional background in the field. The executive Master’s in Information Technology program consists of 6 core courses and one concentration of 5 courses (3 credits each).

Capstone Project

The intent of the Capstone course is to integrate what was learned during the MBA program into an applied context. The course addresses the business-related fields of organizational theory, human resources, project/program management, accounting/finance, operations management, business law and ethics, leadership, and globalization. The capstone project is a culmination of concepts acquired throughout the MBA program. Students will place into practice their developed skills to produce the capstone project by demonstrating knowledge, understanding and application. The Capstone Guidebook provides students a foundation for developing the final project. The guidebook is for reference and guidance to assist the student and faculty with decisions regarding the various steps for completing the final project.

UBIS welcomes students who wish to continue their studies by transferring to the university. UBIS has three 16-week semesters per year and offers students 6 entry dates per year-more flexibility in starting your studies. As a rule, UBIS accepts a maximum of 90 (30*3-credit courses) in transfer for undergraduate studies.

Acceptance of transfer credit is always a decision of receiving institutions. UBIS does not guarantee transferability. Any student interested in transferring UBIS credit to another university should check directly with the receiving institution.
